This came to me in an email from HP Marketing. I'll miss working with HP Marketing, but mostly I'll miss working with the talented and knowledgeable staff.
Here is the email, slightly edited (as it was addressed to the sales reps originally).
"For over 43 years HP Marketing Corp. has been a leader in the importation and marketing of fine photographic equipment.
"Now, our owner, Gepe Holding, has agreed to sell HP Marketing Corp. to the MAC Group effective Feb. 1, 2015.
"Accordingly, as of Feb. 1, 2015, HP Marketing Corp. will be purchased by the MAC Group, who will then take over the distribution of Gepe, Geimuplast, Novoflex, Heliopan and Kaiser products.
"OmegaBrandess will, effective Jan. 15, 2015, take over the distribution of Ansmann, Berlebach, Boblbee, Braun, BRNO, Giottos, Linhof, Rodenstock, Tetenal, Vue-All and Wista products.
(Again, while this addresses sales reps, I'm certain the following would apply to loyal supporters of HP Marketing.)
"We appreciate all that you have done for us and the support that you have given us during our years of association and wish you all continued success in the future. We, the MAC Group and OmegaBrandess all expect an easy and speedy transition and want to ensure that our dealers and their customers experience no interruptions in the supply of our products."
